Miss clause!

I just love these Christmas Manga's from Sugar Nellie, have been itching to ink them up too! I have used the fab sketch over at sketch Saturday and have got cracking on my Christmas cards. Although I thought i would have made more whilst being off work this week but the week has whizzed by and I'm feeling a bit out of sorts to be honest, felt better over the weekend but started feeling yucky again once the antibiotics finished! Typical when I've got time off. Anyhoo, here is the card I made.

Supplies: Stamp - Sugar nellie coloured with promarkers and white gel pen to accent, used liquid applique and glitter on her fur trim / DP - DCWV/ Ribbon - SU/ Dew drops - Robin's nest/ Buttons and thread from stash as is the sentiment sign/ Tools - nesties.

I'll catch up with follower of the week again over the weekend, maybe I'll announce them fortnightly as that seems to be the pattern! The weeks pass by so quickly!

Also just to let you know that Stampeezee has had some delish new Graphic 45 papers in, new Magnolias (plus papers), Helz Cuppleditch stamps, Belles and Whistles stamps, new Sarah Kay Christmas stamps and now also stocks Just Rite stamps too.

Thank you for stopping by and any comments you may leave.

Autumn Wishes

Finally got around to making a card! There is a fab sketch to follow over at a spoonful of sugar, so I used that for this card and some of my new craft stash that I got for my birthday! I love autumn, it is my favourite season, I love the colours, I love watching the leaves turn to all the rich beautiful colours. I like the fact the the sun still shines but there is a slight crispness in the air and it's time for all the snugly sweaters to come out! I was born in the autumn and I'm an earth sign, so maybe that has something to do with it too.

Supplies: stamp and sentiment - Whiff of Joy coloured with promarkers/ DP - Basic Grey Indian Summer/ Cardstock - Stampin' up!/ Flowers - Prima and hobbycraft/ Buttons and raffia lace from stash/ linen thread - SU/ other - distress inks for edges, shimmerz mist in baby's breath on flowers.

I'm enjoying my holiday from work, funny though 'cos you don't realise how worn out you are until you stop! Visited my dear friend Becky in Nottingham yesterday, it was great to catch up, we hadn't seen each other in ages. I couldn't believe how big their son Ewan is now (he is 4 tomorrow) and was lovely to meet baby Oliver for the first time!

Some crafty news for you, Debbie, owner of Stampeezee now has her own blog, make sure you pop over and visit as she is very talented, I have always admired her work. She will also keep you updated with what's new and happening at Stampeezee.

Thanks for looking and any comment you may leave, they always brighten my day!

Birthday Celebrations!

Hi everyone! Well it was my birthday on Saturday and thankfully I was feeling much better. (Thank you for the get well wishes!)

I had a fantastic time, it started on Friday evening, Adrian brought flowers home from work for me and took me for a lovely meal at a local restaurant. Then I got up Saturday and had some lovely cards and gifts to open! I have been spoilt! Lots of lovely new clothes, some boots, Twilight DVD, accessories/jewellery, flowers, some lovely home decor items and of course some new craft stash! I also had some birthday money, I wonder what that will be spent on?!?!

My family, including Scruffy came round to see me and brought me my presents and some birthday cake! We then went for a drink at our local pub, it was a glorious day so we sat outside, we then had a nice meal, some of my family then went home and then, me, Adrian, my mum and dad went into the pub and there was some fantastic entertainment on and we sat and chatted and had a great laugh. Nice quaility time together.

Then on Sunday Adrian's mum and dad came over with Henry (their border terrier) and we had a lovely walk and picnic at Coombe Abbey Country park. The weather was amazing, so was good to make the most of it while it lasts!

It was the best kind of birthday, spent with those I love dearly. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life (family and friends!), they mean the world to me. Thank you all for making this a birthday to remember. Also to Adrian for spoiling me on my special day, there were banners everywhere and I even got a cup of tea in bed! lol. I'll cherish the memories of my first birthday in our first home forever. Also big hugs and kisses to everyone for all my lovely birthday presents and cards. I'm one lucky girl!

Love,

Swiss Pixie

Sorry for the lack of creations lately, my mojo seems to have gone AWOL, probably due to work being so stressful the last few weeks. Looking forward to starting my new job, a change is as good as a rest they say! It has left me feeling run down and I've got a grotty urinary tract infection and am on antibiotics, spent yesterday afternoon in bed and had to have a lie down today as well, unlike me to sleep in the day, usually always on the go! Hope I'm better for Saturday as it's my birthday!

I just about mustered up the energy to finish this card today to share with you. Took the photo outside as it was a dull day! Love my new sizzix flower die set, seen these on Sarah's blog - Card Oasis and had to get them. Not sure the flower works on this card though! I'd like to enter this into the passion for promarkers challenge which is any colour and polka dots this week. I've got the polka dots on the DP.

Supplies - image - CC designs swiss pixie Heidi/ Colouring - promarkers DP - My Mind's eye/ Cardstock - SU/ Flower - Sizzix die set/ Tulle - hobbycraft/ Ribbon - SU/ Tools - nesties, slot punch/ Button and pins from stash.

Before I forget Sonia, my Stampeezee DT buddy, now has here own blog after much nagging! She is a very talented crafter and you definitely should check out her blog - my crafty patch. I know it will be one of my favs to visit as I've admired her work at Stampeezee since I started crafting!

Thank you for looking, hopefully I'll have more cards to share soon.

As many of you will already know the new Stampin' Up catalogue will be launched on 1st October 2009, the new catalogue has some old favourites but to make way for all the fab new products they have had to say goodbye to some to make room.

So check out the last chance list and grab yourself a bargain, some of the products are 25% off and some a massive 50% off! When they are gone they are gone, so make sure you check the list to see if something you have been after is being retired.

I'll also offer free P&P to anyone who orders over £30 before the end of September. Plus all my SU customers are eligible for my loyalty scheme. See side bar for details.

Remember you can only order from the mini catalogue too until the end of Sept, some of the products will be in the new catalogue but some will no longer be available. So don't miss this opportunity if there is anything you really want!

Over the moon!!!

Sorry for the lack of posting and blog hopping this week, it's been a really busy one!
Firstly I had to work on a new ward this week as part of all the changes going on within the surgery department. Then I had to prepare for my interview, I then had my interview for a colo-rectal nurse specialist post, a hairdressers appointment and my dear friend Christina's wedding to attend!

Plus some celebrating as I got the job!!!!! I'm over the moon as I have waited a while for an opportunity like this! This is a promotion for me, after a course and training, I'll be the equivalent to a nursing sister. It will be great working in a specialised area and the team I'll be working with are lovely. Hence it's been very hectic this week and I'm now left feeling shattered, having the crafting DT's and loads of housework to catch up on!!

We had a fantastic day at Christina and John's wedding yesterday! Thank you both for having us there to share your special day. Me and my sister Natalie have grown up with Christina and we class each others families as our own, so it meant a lot to be there. She looked beautiful and everything went well. I hope they have a fantastic time on there honeymoon.

Hope you all had a fab week too! Hopefully I'll have some crafty stuff to share with you all soon and I'll announce my follower of the week asap along with a picture of the goodies they will receive.

Hugs,
