Circle of Friends Award!

I have received this award from my lovely blogger friend Care, thank you honey! It is really kind and thoughtful of you, much appreciated. If you are not familiar with Clare's blog you should definitely pay her a visit as she has some stunning creations to share.

I would like to pass this award onto my friends Sarah and Marlene and also to Steph to welcome her back to blogland! These three ladies never fail to inspire or amaze with their fabulous creations!

I've been a naughty girl and placed a few orders and visited stampeezee as they have got lots of new goodies in, so watch this space!!

Just Magnolia

Over at Just Magnolia there is a fabulous sketch to follow by the talented Tab. Enjoyed following this sketch and making this card. I love all things shabby chic and think that this card has a shabby chic feel to it. Wish the weather would brighten up though I'm having trouble with the lighting for my photos, I may have to invest in a photo tent!

Stamp - Magnolia, sentiment SU, coloured with distress inks, mica shimmer paints and SU inks, cardstock SU, DP basic Grey Porcelain, ribbon from stampeezee, flower from hobbycraft, pins from stash, pearls from SU pretties kit, woodware florish punch. I've also used the mica paints on the flower.

The magnolia stamps are available from Stampeezee, as is the ribbon, florish punch, Basic Grey paper pads, distress inks and mica paints. So this one will be going to Debbie as a DT card too.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look and for any comment you may leave, they brighten my day.

Hugs

P.S Check back soon as I'll have blog candy on offer!

Stampin' up cards!

Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to Gemma and clare for coming to my Stampin' up event yesterday, we had a great time, we chatted the hours away while looking through my stash and having a play, I must say not much crafting got done though!! It was a lovely afternoon and I look forward to doing it again soon! Also thank you to Gemma for the lovely flowers she brought me, so sweet of her! Michelle my SU upline has just called to say that I have promoted to Bronze 2 whoop, whoop, I hadn't even realised so I am pleased about that!

Don't forget if you haven't already pop over to Gemma's blog to enter her blog candy, it's a lovely selection of goodies and it ends tomorrow!

As I hadn't made many cards just using stampin' up products, I had a go at making a few samples, still need to do many more but it's a start! I couldn't believe that I still had stamp sets not assembled or used!!! I need to using and stop hoarding my stash!! Well here are the first few cards for SU samples, I've just had some new goodies delivered so will play with these soon too. If I could only choose one thing that I loved about Stampin' up it would be the fact that everything co-ordinates perfectly, making it a snap to put projects together.

Supplies used: Crazy for cupcakes set, SU inks, sweet always DP, chocolate chip, pumpkin cardstock, chocolate chip stitched ribbon, oval punches, scallop border punch, stickles.

Supplies used: a little bit of happiness stamp set (hostess), SU inks, cardstock, certainly celery, very vanilla ribbon, soft subtle brads, spiral punch, distress tool (attached to cutter kit).

Sorry for the shadows in the photos, the lighting wasn't very good today. Hopefully I'll be back soon with some more cards. Getting back into the swing of things now!

Thanks for looking and for any comments, they are much appreciated and I love reading them and visiting your blogs in return.

Hugs and smiles,

Stampin' Up Open House!

I'm back from our holiday to Greece, we had a fab time but as always it went far too quickly! Was a much needed break and relaxation. Just hope my tan lasts longer than 5 minutes! My dad had a great 50th Birthday too, we all had great fun celebrating! Thank you to all our friends over there that helped to make it a birthday to remember for my dad, it means alot. Thought I'd share a few holiday snaps!

Now back to piles of washing, post to open, bills to pay and work, don't you just love reality! Oh well, I'll have to relive it all while scrapbooking the photos over the next few weeks! Also looking forward to trying some jewellery making and beading, thanks to Denise, a friend who lives over in Halkidiki who gave me a craft lesson and tips, also for the beautiful ceramic sunflowers plaque that she gave me, I will find a place for it in our home.

Stampin' Up Open House!

I'm having a Stampin' Up event at my house on Saturday 25th July from 12:30pm onwards, it is a chance to get together with fellow crafters and share ideas. I will demo the products and it is a chance to have a look and play with them. I will have some samples on show and there will be a make and take. I'll also put on refreshments. There is no charge and no obligation to buy. However I will be offering free gifts to anyone who does place an order and will have some special offers on the day. Please email me if you would like to come along and I'll give you my address, directions etc. I need to know numbers as I can only accomodate so many people due to living in a small cottage, so please let me know asap. I live in Brinklow.

My friend Gemma has some great blog candy up for grabs until 27th July so be sure to pop over to her blog painted dreams and enter.

Also Rach has some fab candy up on her blog until 18th July.

Have missed crafting and looking forward to creating something to share with you soon, however have enjoyed the break, I sometimes forget that this is a hobby and supposed to be fun and get stressed about posting etc!

Hugs,

Just Magnolia and guest DT news!

Phew, what a busy week I had last week (apologies for lack of blogging!), I'm now itching to get creating!

My week consisted of work Monday, going to Manchester to see Take That on Tues/wed (I know they were on at RICHO arena but my friend had already brought the tickets prior to them putting on the dates there, typical!), they were fab, thanks to Daniela for organising that, had a fun girlie time! Work Thursday and Friday I also had a retirement Party to go to plus a 60th party on Friday night after two long shifts, and the hairdressers, holiday shopping and spending time with family on Saturday. Needless to say that by Sunday I needed a day to kick back!!! So I had a more relaxing day on Sunday, along with trying to get a bit of housework done. Then took mum and dad to the airport on Monday, back to work again tues, wed, thurs.

Here is my card for this weeks Just magnolia challenge, it's a great sketch by Bev, thanks hun! Definately one I'll use again and again.

Stamps - Magnolia - Tilda as butterfly, sentiment from Stampin' up. Colouered with distress and Stampin' up inks. Also used sticles and white gel pen.
Card - Stampin' up, DP - Basic Grey Urban paperie
Flowers - Prima, Brads, gems and spacers from stash
Tools - Martha Stewart doily lace punch, nesties.

Some exciting news! I will be guest designer for the papertake weekly challenge blog in August/september for 4weeks, Thanks to Dawny for having me! I'm looking forward to it!

Stampeezee now has promarkers in stock, I've been undecided about what markers to get for a while, nearly brought promarkers, then nearly brought copics, think this has sold it for me as I can now get promarkers locally and Debbie runs a great loyalty scheme in the shop, plus they are great markers and cheaper than copics. Means more pennies to spend on stamps etc!! So watch this space as I hope to get some soon.

Thank you for looking and any comments you may leave as I love reading them!

Hugs,
